Film ‘Oblik vode’, mračna bajka meksičkoga redatelja Guillerma del Tora, predvodi u nominacijama za ovogodišnje Oscare
Film “Oblik vode” dobio je trinaest nominacija za nagradu Oscar, uključujući one za najbolji film, režiju, originalni scenarij, glavnu i sporednu žensku ulogu te sporednu mušku ulogu.
Za 90. Oscara u kategoriji najboljega filma, uz “Oblik vode” (Shape of Water), nominirani su i “Skrivena ljubav” (Call Me By Your Name), “Darkest Hour”, “Dunkirk”, “Get Out”, “Lady Bird”, “Phantom Thread”, “Novine” (The Post) i “Tri plakata izvan grada” (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri).
Po broju nominacija slijedi “Dunkirk”, koji ih ima osam, među kojima i onu za najbolju režiju za Christophera Nolana. Sedam nominacija dobio je film “Tri plakata izvan grada”, uključujući i one za glumce Frances McDormand, Woodyja Harrelsona i Sama Rockwella.
Meryl Streep dobila je 21. nominaciju za Oscara i to za glavnu ulogu u filmu “Novine”, a na putu da je osvoji četvrti put konkurirat će joj Sally Hawkins za ulogu u filmu “Oblik vode” te Frances McDormand (Tri plakata izvan grada), Margot Robbie (Ja, Tonya) i Saoirse Ronan (Lady Bird).
Za Oscara u kategoriji najbolje glavne muške uloge konkuriraju Timothee Chalamet (Skrivena ljubav), Daniel Day-Lewis (Phantom Thread), Daniel Kaluuya (Get out), Gary Oldman (Darkest Hour) i Denzel Washington (Roman J. Israel, Esq,)
Za najbolju sporednu ulogu u muškoj konkurenciji nominirani su Woody Harrelson i Sam Rockwell za film “Tri plakata izvan grada” te Willem Defoe (The Florida Project), Richard Jenkins (Oblik vode) i Christopher Plummer (Sav novac svijeta / All the Money in the World), a u ženskoj Mary J. Blige (Mudbound), Allison Janney (I, Tonya), Lesley Manville (Phantom Thread), Laurie Metcalf (Lady Bird) i Octavia Spencer (Oblik vode).
Osim Guillerma del Tora i Christophera Nolana u kategoriji za najbolju režiju nominirani su i Jordan Peele za “Get Out”, Paul Thomas Anderson za “Phantom Thread” i Greta Gerwig za “Lady Bird” kao tek peta žena u povijesti Oscara nominirana za najbolju režiju.
Uz nominaciju za najbolji film, “Oblik vode” nominiran je i u kategorijama za najbolju režiju, originalni scenarij, glavnu i sporednu žensku ulogu, sporednu mušku ulogu, fotografiju, kostimografiju, montažu, originalnu glazbu, scenografiju, montažu zvuka i zvuk.
James Franco, za kojeg se očekivalo da će dobiti nominaciju za ulogu filmaša Tommyja Wiseaua u filmu “The Disaster Artist”, na kraju nije nominiran.
